"Harmonious development and eventual perfection of human character". These are the words from Dr. Jigoro Kano, founder of judo, which means "gentle way".  This is what we should strive for in life with family, friends and society. I have learned commitment, dedication and RESPECT from the "gentle way" and it will always be a part of my life.  I honor and respect my Senseis (teachers) who instilled these values in me and I upheld the same principles when I earned the title of Sensei. As a Sensei I have shared what I have learned with my students (judokas).

These days I am sharing my communication and leadership experience gained in my career and through Toastmasters. My goal is to inspire people to effectively and passionately speak and gain confidence. I am giving back in gratitude for what I have gained, just as I did in judo and jiu-jitsu.

Mutual benefit and welfare is a main principle of judo. We should remember this principle in our daily lives. Little did I know that when I was learning how to be thrown in judo that I would also learn principles to lead my life.

Thank you Dr. Kano, thank you to each Sensei that taught me the "gentle way".
